The Challenge
Associated Glass were sitting on page two in their own home town. Their average position across core Loughton keywords was 14.14. The terms that matter most to a buyer were far worse than that: “composite door prices” at #48, “upvc sash windows” at #41, “aluminium windows prices” at #36.
Outside Loughton, they were invisible. Woodford, Buckhurst Hill, Wanstead and Theydon Bois are affluent areas minutes from their showroom, full of exactly the customers who buy Origin bi-folds and Internorm glazing. Associated Glass ranked for almost none of it.
What We Did
We built the SEO into the site
Because we built the website too, the technical foundations were designed in from day one rather than bolted on afterwards.
We gave every product range its own page
Origin, Rationel, Velfac, Heritage, Bel'm, composite doors, sash windows, skylights. Their partner list stopped being a badge and started being a set of landing pages that catch people searching by product name.
We expanded across the whole catchment
We didn't optimise one town and hope for spillover. We ran the same 22 term commercial keyword set consistently across five locations.
We targeted the money terms
Price, cost and supplier searches are what people type right before they call someone. Most competitors ignore them. We went straight at them.
We report live
Rankings are published to a client portal every month, so Associated Glass can see exactly what they're paying for.

Why It Worked
We competed on specifics rather than the category. Anyone can chase “double glazing Essex”. Almost nobody was properly competing for “aluminium bifold doors Buckhurst Hill”, which has lower volume and a far shorter path to a quote.
We treated the whole catchment as one system. One town ranked well is a nice result. Five towns ranked consistently is a moat.
And we built the site and the SEO together, so there was nothing to work around.
